Cortlandt Healthcare hosted the annual “Thank A Vet Social.” The residents worked for a week making thank you cards for the brave men and women who have served our country. At the “Thank A Vet” social, 42 residents gathered to celebrate Veteran’s Day. They sang patriotic songs and had brownies decorated with red, white and blue frosting. Men from the Putnam Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars also came to visit. The residents presented the gentleman with the cards they made in arts & crafts programs. After talking with the residents and thanking the veterans at the party, the men went room to room to thank each individual veteran for their service to our county. This event was also televised by channel 20 news for Westchester County.
