This resident was admitted to CHC after being hospitalized for a right pelvic fracture. Prior to her fall this resident was living alone in her apartment and functioning at an independent level with a rolling walker. After the fall this resident presented with reduced ability for ambulation, poor balance and experienced pain with all functioning mobility. In addition to great skilled nursing care, this resident received intensive Physical and occupational therapy. We are pleased to say that with the therapeutic exercises, balance training and pain modalities this resident was able to return to her apartment with ability to walk 200 ft. with a rolling walker, improved balance, less pain and improved functioning ability to perform all of her activities of daily living!!
