Cortlandt Healthcare Gives Back to the Community!
As the holidays approach we at Cortlandt Healthcare recognize the difficult circumstances that have affected families in our community.
CHC reached out and adopted 2 families for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
For Thanksgiving we will be providing an entire Thanksgiving dinner for a family in need.
For Christmas CHC will donate gifts to ensure that 5 children will receive special gifts on their wish list, so that they can have a happy holiday!
Cortlandt Healthcare Veteran’s Day Program
Cortlandt Healthcare hosted the annual “Thank A Vet Social.” The residents worked for a week making thank you cards for the brave men and women who have served our country. At the “Thank A Vet” social, 42 residents gathered to celebrate Veteran’s Day. They sang patriotic songs and had brownies decorated with red, white and blue frosting. Men from the Putnam Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars also came to visit. The residents presented the gentleman with the cards they made in arts & crafts programs. After talking with the residents and thanking the veterans at the party, the men went room to room to thank each individual veteran for their service to our county. This event was also televised by channel 20 news for Westchester County.

Dinner With The Chef
Dinner with the Chef was an exclusive night to meet and dine with our amazing chef. Our residents and families enjoyed a gourmet menu featuring: slow roasted Prime Rib of Beef, seasoned and served with au jus; grilled Salmon with a homemade beurre blanc; creamed Spinach, served in a classic steakhouse style; broccoli lightly seasoned; oven roasted potatoes with garlic and fresh rosemary. Also, a classical violinist was playing throughout the evening. A wonderful time was had by all!

ReNEWal at Cortlandt Healthcare
Evelyn and Ken Jamison Renew their wedding vows!
They met in 1966 at the Hudson Valley Hospital. Evelyn was a staff aid and Ken was a patient. They got married in 1970. They renewed their vows 5 years ago and wished to renew it again with their Cortlandt Healthcare family. It was a real nice and meaningful event!
Cortlandt Healthcare’s Old-fashioned Dickens Christmas and Holiday Extravaganza has been a fun event in the past.
Families watched the spectacle of the tree lighting and musical light show. Families also enjoyed free hot cocoa, cider, roasted chestnuts and more in the warmth of our heated tents. Santa even visited all the way from the North Pole to make a special appearance with his Reindeer.
